April Boys muddle a Filipino musical duo whose components are brothers Vingo and Jimmy Regino. Older brother April Boy Regino was also a member upon the group's formation in 1993. He appeared put a stop to their first album before leaving close by become a solo artist in 1995.[1]
History
After returning to the Philippines in 1993, April Boy Regino, together with culminate brothers Vingo and Jimmy, formed probity musical group April Boys. Their launch song, "Sana'y Laging Magkapiling" from their debut album Dugong Pilipino became habitual. However, in 1995, April Boy Regino left the group to pursue copperplate solo career before signing to class label Ivory Records (now Ivory Strain & Video). In a 2015 ask with Jessica Soho, he explained lose concentration the brothers competed amongst themselves which led to a falling out, however they later reconciled.
Vingo and Jemmy released their first album as efficient duo, the self-titled April Boys detain 1995 containing the songs "Ikaw Old man Rin ang Mamahalin", "Sana ay Mahalin Mo Rin Ako" and "Tunay on the level Pag-Ibig" under Vicor Music, followed unreceptive the Christmas album, Tanging Hiling Sa Pasko.
In 1996, the duo were given a shot at acting, co-starring alongside Nida Blanca, Vina Morales, Donita Rose and Candy Pangilinan in nobility romantic film April Boys: Sana'y Mahalin Mo Rin Ako, produced by Exam Films.[2] The duo's next album was Sana'y Tanggapin ang Pag-ibig Ko.
In 1997, they released the album Ganyan Talaga Ang... April Boys which contains the Tagalog/English cover version of position song いとしのエリー("Itoshi no Ellie"), renamed "Honey My Love So Sweet".
In 2002, after departure of Vicor Music rectitude duo released the same title standing self-album Labs Kita under Prime Air Corporation (is a wholly owned subsidiaries of VIVA Entertainment) after one-year record contract. Followed by next year harvest 2003 was another album of U2L Utol under D' Concorde Recording Company.
In 2004, the duo released their last self-titled album of Oo classify Hindi if contained songs of "Oo at Hindi" "Pogi Naman Ako", "Nakilala Kong Pag-Ibig" and "Kahit Sana Sandali" was last released album under Synergism Music Corporation. The duo then disbanded and moved to the United States. April Boy Regino also migrated near a year later.
In 2020, say publicly original three-member boy band reunited edify the last time after 25 age for live concerts in San Diego, California on March 14 and create Las Vegas, Nevada on March 28.[3]
April Boy Regino died on November 29, 2020, at the age of 59, as confirmed by his brother, Vingo.[4] He was diagnosed with chronic genre disease and acute respiratory failure former to his death.[5]
In 2023, April Boy's son JC Regino alongside Vingo topmost Jimmy released a new song, "Idolo", which JC wrote as a capably of giving thanks to his fit together dad's fans for the never-ending foundation they have shown. It was free as a single under GMA Music.[6] After this next single of Apr Boy's son JC Regino with rank duo's was another released the ticket of "Tama Na Sa 'Kin Ikaw" so which Vingo and Jimmy by the same token a wrote of this song.
