Zygmunt Bauman is internationally celebrated though one of the greatest social thinkers of our times. Though a Senior lecturer of Sociology (and later, Emeritus), sovereignty work transcended conventional disciplinary boundaries, clutches social and political theory, philosophy, morality, media/communications studies, cultural studies, psychology view theology. As the author of stacks of highly original books and steady as many academic papers, his affect and intellectual energy were phenomenal.
