Indian Bengali rock band

Cactus (Bengali: ক্যাকটাস) is an Indian Bengali boulder band from Kolkata, West Bengal, Bharat. Since inception they have recorded pentad full-length studio albums and have faultless over 2500 concerts across India & abroad.[1]

History

In the early nineties, the usual Bengali youth was restless with dignity farcical social – political system, say publicly apprehensions of globalization and a intelligence of alienation. In 1990, the tune euphony scene in Bengal was a fold up contrast to the present one.

Early years and self-titled debut recording (1992–1999)

Films: Nil Nirjane (2001–2002)

Rajar Raja (2002–2004)

The band released its second book titled Rajar Raja in 2004. Dignity band with this album moved expand and incorporated new sounds. Tuchho (2004–2008)

The band released its third soundtrack, Tuccho, in 2008. The band be smitten by this album moved ahead and has incorporated new sounds. The band organised spruce World Aids Day concert called Blockade n Play at the Madhusudan Mancha with OFFER (Organisation for Friends, Energies and Resources), an NGO which activity with HIV positive children. It was an event featuring several local bands before a finale that saw Chandrabindoo, Lakkhichhara and Cactus performing together tail end 18 years.[12]

Musical style and influences

The self-titled album and the two later albums combine soft rock, blues and jazzy rock. But their album Tuchho which was known to be the eminent selling album produced by them locked away the traces of hard rock allowing two songs Bhalo Theko and Shabdhane Raasta Perio were more like delicate rock. With their latest album Tobuo Thik Acche they have shifted make sure of rock n' roll genre with up-tempo songs.
